First off there’s a protrusion at the bottom of the vessel kind of like what you have in the bottom of a wine bottle that pokes up into the bottle. The other is that it’s not quite as elegant looking as the photo. A bit more squatty I would say in appearance. Not a dealbreaker, but just something to be aware of. Haven’t actually tried it yet. I bought this on the recommendation of America’s test kitchen.P.S. The rim of the pouring area is also not perfectly smooth. Not a big deal since you won’t be drinking out of it, but not the best fit and finish in the world either. Perhaps that will smoth off in time with washing.
